Our High Maintenance Child

Sophie, Sophie, Sophie

Even saying her name makes me tired!

She brings me so much happiness but then somehow also is slowly making me crazy.

Things she is doing lately include:

1. Asking me "Where are we going, Mommy?" or "Who's coming over?" or "What are we doing next Mommy, and then what's after that?" ALL DAY LONG

2. Asking to play with the neighbor girl. ALL DAY LONG

3. Saying "I'm HUNGRY!" every 5 minutes.

4. Telling people not to talk to her or look at her or touch her or that she doesn't like them.

5. Telling me I'm a meanie.

6. Getting out of her bed 10 times every night.

Who is this kid?

It's a good thing she is so dang cute. And I know I'll look back on this time and miss it. So...I will just try to be more patient.

But please let me apologize in advance when she tells you she doesn't like you. :)

Phil + Tara, 7 Years

I can't believe it has been 7 years since my dad walked me down the aisle at Kathryn Albertson Park, accompanied by a string quartet, while surrounded by our most precious friends and family. Best day of my life!

Here are the 5 things I love most about Phil. He is:
1. hardworking
2. honest/loyal
3. spiritual
4. a sweet Daddy
5. silly

Here are the 5 things he says he loves most about me. Apparently, I am:
1. beautiful
2. fun
3. always has a plan
4. awesome mother
5. patient

We celebrated with a night downtown without kids and stayed at the Modern Hotel.

Maybe for our 10 year we'll get to do something more exciting, but any night without kids is a good one.

Sophie's Spring Ballet Recital

Sophie and Navy's spring recital was Peter Pan and they were the "Water Fairies".

Phil and I didn't actually get to see it because we had the opportunity to go to a FREE couple's retreat for in Cascade at the Ashley Inn! One of the many perks of being in the military we are just beginning to discover.

Phil's brother was able to video a little bit of it for us. They are really cute but I think the choreography is too difficult for them.

Sophie acts like she likes ballet but she doesn't really get into it. Maybe we'll try gymnastics or karate or something else? Or maybe she just isn't quite old enough?

8 Months, Still Sweet as Can Be

Caitlin is pulling herself up on everything. She could care less about toys because she is too busy trying to stand all the time.

She's doing this silly thing when she gets tired. She wiggles her body, especially her head back and forth from side to side:
