9 Months Old

Every month I do a new post for Sophie I can't believe how quickly she is growing older! I want her just to stay exactly how she is right now...tiny and sweet and silly forever. Although if she wanted to sleep a little better that would be ok with me! Ever since she figured out the crawling thing she has been so busy exploring and pulling herself up onto everything. Now we are working on saying "Mamamamama" instead of always "Dadadadada". :) We are so grateful for this gorgeous little girl.

4 Year Anniversary

We celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary last night. We thought about going out of town but decided instead to save some money and stay in town. So...this is what we did: We made reservations at a cute bed and breakfast downtown. After dropping Sophie off at Grandma and Grandpa's overnight (for the first time ever!) we rode our bikes down to the hotel and checked in. Then we rode our bikes to the Edwards downtown and saw "What Happens in Vegas"--SO FUNNY! Then we rode our bikes to the Melting Pot--SO YUMMY! Then we rode back to the hotel and had a lovely night of uninterrupted sleep (the first since little miss Sophie was born). The breakfast they served was called Creme Brulee French Toast and again--SO YUMMY. So overall, our night was--SO FUN!! I love my husband so much, I am--SO LUCKY!

Cousins and Clapping

For Memorial Day weekend, we went with cousins Summer and Josh to Pocatello to visit our cousin Emily and her family. We had tons of fun shopping, fishing, eating, watching the babies play, playing Rockband and the Wii and swimming at the hotel. We are sad Emily and Spencer are moving to Ohio and wish we would have visited more often! While we were there, Sophie started clapping (which Emily is taking credit for). We've been trying to get her to clap for a while but she wouldn't open up her fists until now...its so cute!

Crawling at 8 1/2 Months

Sophie is crawling! Not only crawling, but also pulling herself up on things and hitting her head on the piano, the tv stand, the lamp, etc. Time to babyproof!

Phil Graduates Tonight!

Phil is finally graduating and is now OFFICIALLY a licensed journeyman electrician! He passed the journeyman test, first try. He interviewed with Mr. Electric and was offered the job. It may or may not be what we're looking for permanently, but its great for right now. Here he is in his uniform:
