Last week we had our carpet replaced so our mattress was in the family room for a while. Here is a video of Sophie and Phil playing on the mattress. You have to watch until the very end if you want to hear her say "Hi!".

Who Does Sophie Look Like...Dad or Mom?

13 Months Old!

Sophie is 13 months old! She is so much fun. Crawling around everywhere, but not walking yet. She took her 1st two steps in Sacramento a couple of weeks ago. She can stand by herself if she wants to, but rarely does. She is very talkative and social. She is starting to share her toys and food but likes to say "NO" alot. She finally has one of her top teeth almost through. That will be 3! :) Her favorite foods are mac n cheese and fruit. She loves to stand at the back door, pound on the screen and yell at the dogs, "DOH, DOH!" She likes to take toys out of a container and then put them back. I guess she likes organizing like her mom! Her favorite toys are her bracelets. She likes to take them in and out of the bag and carry them around the house. She is still so tiny, she has unfortunately lost weight in the last month. 13 months and not even 17 lbs! I've finally tricked her into drinking cow's milk instead of formula, so hopefully that will help. Plus lots of cookies. :)

We gave Sophie a carton of yogurt and a spoon just for fun and expected her to make a huge mess. Instead she used it like a champ. She didn't even knock the carton over!

Mason Family Reunion

We just returned from a Mason Family Reunion in sunny Sacramento. It is nice to be home, but we would still like to be there. We had so much fun! We stayed with Phil's cousins Rick & Brenda and had really yummy food for every meal.

Its My Party, And I'll Cry If I Want To

And Sophie did just that at her 1st birthday party! She didn't want anything to do with the cupcake and didn't want to pose for any pictures. Luckily, we did manage to get a few cute ones. (How could they not be cute when she's wearing that hat?!) I was worried about the weather because it was supposed to be windy and cold and her party was at a little park, but it turned out to be perfect. Cute cupcakes, cute decorations, precious friends and family, cute everything. What would I do without my mom?!
