Fallness

We began October with conference, crepes and Crooks. A winning combination for sure!

Then a field trip to the pumpkin patch with these 2 cuties.

He picked the tiniest pumpkin.

I came into my closet to find this. OCD much??

His fave jammies of the season.

And I came out front to find this. Look closely at her shoes! Silly girl.

Caitlin's vision of our cul de sac. I especially love the flowers above our house.

Sophie and Phil ran the Halloween Run with Sophie's running group Girl's on the Run downtown dressed as George and the Man with the Yellow Hat.

They won the costume contest!

Sophie and our neighbor Miriam.

On a sad, rainy day we said goodbye to two members of our family. We didn't think Deja would make it through the night, but she did and so we were able to spend a family day together and spoil them rotten. Cheeseburgers for lunch and everything! We will remember Ali's independence and stubborn attitude. We will remember Deja's love for everyone and fearless energy. We are comforted knowing they will be together and that we will see them again someday. We love you Deja & Ali! 2002-2015

Papa & TJ took the kids to see Frozen on Ice!

One monkey, One pumpkin and One rainbow skeleton. Since we finally have a neighborhood to trick or treat in
this is the first year we stayed home and it was great!

Phil carved a minion pumpkin.

Birthday, Baptism, Birthday aaaaaand Another Birthday

8 sure is great! On her birthday, Sophie wanted to go on a family bike ride to Pastry Perfection for donuts. So that's what we did and it was perfect!

Then this happened. It was such a special day. We were so grateful for all who came to support our Sophie Joy.

Sophie, Caitlin, Navy & Ryder sang a special song my friend Amy and I wrote and Phil played the guitar for them.

Uncle Ben gave her the perfect gift for an 8 year old: a magic 8 ball, duh!

Then 2 weeks later, this cheerleader turned 5! Grandma made her this amazing cake.

Uncle Ben mailed her a sea shell from Virginia Beach.

Then two weeks after that...
Sawyer had a Minions party with all his little friends and he was in heaven!

My mom and Trisha again, with the amazing cake. What will I do if I ever have to actually make a cake myself??

School & Soccer

Caitlin's first day of her 2nd year of preschool with Miss Laura ;)

Sawyer's many sleeping positions:

His new favorite thing is riding his bike around the cul de sac on the sidewalk.

We went on a nice Labor Day hike with our neighbors the Amoreaux.

She is slurping up the leftover syrup. Wouldn't want to waste a drop!

One of Sophie's favorite new school outfits.

"Practicing" for soccer.

Sawyer is so cute with his little friends, Cooper & Nolan.

Caitlin is playing soccer! She is the only girl on the team but she does a good job, when she is not distracted by her pretty new cleats…or the clouds…or a dragonfly…or by flowers, and then picking one and giving it to the ref. ;) Her games are entertaining to say the least!

We took the girls to the Compassion Experience. They were able to experience what it would be like to live and grow up in a 3rd world country. Caitlin calls them the "sad kids" and talks about how we need to help them almost daily.

Went to see Shania Twain for Theressa's birthday. She did not disappoint!

Spent the afternoon at the Hyde Park Street Fair with Papa & TJ. We waited in line forever for that cotton candy!

King of the park!

Phil and Sophie had a blast running the Color Run fundraiser for Sophie's school.
