A Short Reunion with Amy

Amy was in town for a short visit and we were able to meet up at the park. I miss my ROOMIE!! She lives in Arizona now and I only get to see her onceish a year. Hopefully she will move back to Boise someday, fingers crossed!

Dad & TJ's Party

This weekend was my dad and TJ's wedding party/reception. Becca came in town and it was a good way for us to think about something else for a while. We had a great time!

Goodbye Kevin Mason

Phil's dad lost his 3 year battle with cancer last week. The funeral service was beautiful, up at the veteran's cemetery. We will miss him dearly.

Cute Neighbor Girls

Hannah, Samantha, Sophie and Afton on a fun summer day. They pretty much play together every day. Sophie will miss them so much when we move!

Some Sophie Happenings

Here are a few things Sophie has been up to recently:

Dance Recital:

They danced to "L-is for the way you look...at me, etc." It was darling! Sophie was more into dance this year but she didn't love or look forward to practice every week. When I asked her what she wants to try next (gymnastics, soccer, etc.) she thought about it and said BOWLING, mommy! Hmmmm...maybe.

Preschool Graduation:

 Sophie has LOVED preschool this year and is very attached to her teacher Miss Laura. Luckily, she will see her once a week during the summer too!

Riding a Bike without Training Wheels:

We didn't even put training wheels on, ever. We just had her glide around on it for about a week and off she went after she had figured out the balance thing. She is growing up too fast!

Silly Caitlin

Here is an update on Caitlin since I really don't want to forget all the silly things she is doing right now!

She is almost 21 months and actually fits into 24 month clothes. So opposite of Sophie!

She is very girlie already, bringing me tutus and dresses to put on her. So opposite of Sophie! She loves to turn on Sophie's Barbie CD and dance in her tutus and princess shoes.

She gets MAD and throws fits now. Lays down on the floor no matter where we are. She can be really difficult right now, especially since we are only letting her have her binkie in bed.

I love that her first words were "thank you".

She has a love/hate relationship with Sophie.

She loves her bike/scooter and loves to dance in circles around it after she hits the button that plays her favorite song.

She loves "Twinkle, twinkle little star" and sings it often, but only with syllables. Right on tune though, that's my girl! This is not the best example, but you get the idea.

If she wants a bite of or a drink of what you have, she will pant like a dog to tell you so. Silly girl!

8 Year Anniversary

You would not believe how many roses there were. It was beautiful and not too far from home. We had the entire basement, back patio and hot tub to ourselves!
