Sophie's First Bath

Sophie didn't seem to mind her first bath. She didn't have the most pleasant look on her face and she was a bit squirmy, but she didn't cry!

Great Grandpa's 80th Birthday

Last weekend we drove to Utah so we could attend Grandpa Goodsell's 80th birthday party. Sophie was thrilled to meet her Great Grandma Joy (who she is named after) and her Great Grandpa Phill. I'm so happy to have this picture of 4 generations!

1st Day Without Dad

So, yesterday Phil went back to work and Sophie and mom were on our own. Everything was going fine until mom accidently flooded the bathroom. Then Sophie peed all over her cute outfit while mom was changing her diaper. Then Sophie's umbilical cord came off when mom picked her up and she screamed. Then mom finally got Sophie dressed again and in her car seat when she spit up all over! PHEW, what a morning!

SOPHIE JOY MASON was born on August 31, 2007 at 1:17 am. I was in labor for 23 hours, but everything went well and we are blessed with a perfect little girl. Thankfully, Phil will be home all week with me to help with the adjustment. So far she is very content and peaceful but also looks around quite a bit. We are so grateful for all the support we have received from friends and family!
